Makenna Wheeler returned to her alma mater as an assistant coach at Northwest for the 2020-21 season.
Wheeler earned All-Conference honors in 2018 when the Eagles won the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament and reached the NAIA quarterfinals. Wheeler also played for NU in its national semifinal season in 2016 and its NAIA Opening Round season in 2017.
Wheeler received her bachelor’s degree from NU in elementary education with a humanities endorsement in 2019.
A native of Snohomish, Wheeler attends Churchome and enjoys skiing, teaching, coffee, art, music, and the great outdoors.
