Rachael Carbary joined the NU volleyball staff as an assistant coach in 2012-13 after 11 years at King’s High School.
Carbary also coaches All Out Volleyball Club and also coached track and field at King’s Junior High.
Carbary, who hails from Edmonds, played volleyball at Hope International as a defensive specialist from 1996-99 and earned a bachelor of arts degree in Secondary Social Science in 2000. She also received a master’s in education from Pepperdine in 2002. In 2005, she became a certified personal trainer with emphasis in sports performance from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
She and her husband, Ryan, have one daughter, Elise. They attend Sound City Bible Church, where Rachael serves as Kid’s Ministry Teacher.
Carbary enjoys playing outdoors with her family, gardening, going to the beach and cooking.
