Donovan Givens joins the NU men’s basketball staff, bringing a strong passion for the game and a desire to help develop student-athletes. He played college ball at Millsaps College and Trinity University before transferring to Belhaven University, where he played his last two years of college basketball.
His coaching philosophy incorporates that of a former player, in which the focus is on player development and fundamentals. This marks Givens’ first year on the coaching staff, where he is focused on helping players develop both on and off the court while building a positive and competitive team culture.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Belhaven University and is currently pursuing his Master’s in Computer Information Systems from Belhaven. He enjoys building a life centered on faith, family, basketball, tech, and serving others.
