Moreland Anderson

Moreland Anderson joined the Northwest track and field coaching in the 2021-22 season as an assistant coach after seven seasons as sprints, jumps, and multi-events coach at Warner Pacific.
 
Anderson also coached at Westside Christian High School in Tigard, Oregon, from 1998 to 2014. He earned the Oregon Coaches Association's Coach of the Year honors in 2009 for 3A Boys. He also was West Valley League Coach of the Year in 2000, 2002, 2003, 2009, 2011, 2013, and 2014. In 2010, he was awarded 3A Boys Track Coach of the Year by Who's Who in Oregon Track and Field.
 
Anderson holds certifications from USA Track and Field in sprints/hurdles/relays, jumps, and endurance. He also is US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association certified in Track and Field Technical Coaching.
 
He competed in track and field at Clark College in 1966 and earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington in 1969.
 
Moreland and his wife, Nancy, have two sons, Jeff and Brad. Anderson, who hails from Washougal and resides in Portland, Oregon, attends Village Church in Beaverton. He enjoys reading, golf, and travel.
