The first set was the tightest of the night as the teams battled back and forth for the lead. On the sixth tie of the set at 11-11, Oregon Tech would gain the upper hand after two straight Eagles errors to go up 13-11. Tech would tie it up at 24-all after a Northwest error and and would take the set on Kelsey Sampson's kill and a final NU error.
The second set would just as close as the first with ties and lead changes. NU would hold a 23-21 lead after Dakota Adams' kill and Arika Zwack's service ace, but a 4-0 final run by the Owls including three straight NU attack errors would give the set to OIT.
