Corban Edges Eagles in Overtime

Box Score KIRKLAND, Wash. – Corban's Kemar Prince's third goal of the game 2:39 into the first overtime lifted the Warriors to a 3-2 victory and the Cascade Conference regular season championship. With the win, the Warriors earn the #1 seed in next week's CCC Championships semifinals. Northwest will be the #2 seed and will host Concordia at noon on Tuesday, November 12 while Corban hosts the College of Idaho in the other semifinal.
 
The teams battled back and forth exchanging goals in regulation as Prince's first score in the 17th minute put Corban ahead 1-0. The half would end with Corban up one goal but NU's Odason Pelogi would tie the score at the 63:38 mark in the second half with his score.
 
Prince would score his second goal in the 85th minute with his header putting the Warriors up 2-1. In the 93rd minute, it was Northwest's Josh Guerrero's diving header from 10 yards out that would tie the game once more at 2-2. Time would expire sending the game into an extra period. Prince would then score his game winner at 92:39 as he put a left footer into the left side of the net.

Corban (14-1-2) outshot Northwest (13-5, 11-3) 17-16 while Northwest held the edge in corner kicks with 7 to the Warriors' 4. Daniel Fredrickson, Josh Hamilton and Arsinio Walker had the assists on Preince's three goals. Adam Loga had two assists and Odason Pelogi one assist for the Eagles. Jordan Farr had 4 saves for Corban in goal while Joe Galbraith grabbed 9 saves for Northwest U.

"I felt our guys battled tough today and we had our chances," said Gary McIntosh, NU head coach. "We are, though, excited about Tuesday's playoff game."
