Box Score KIRKLAND, Wash. – The Northwest University women broke open a close game for 4 second half goals as the Eagles defeated Warner Pacific, 5-0, for their 8
th straight Cascade Conference victory. The win clinches at least a tie for the CCC championship with second place and #3 ranked Concordia coming into town on Saturday. NU has 24 points while Concordia has 21 points.
Tatyana Reveles scored what proved to be the game winner in the 7
th minute as she dribbled past a defender on the left side and scored from 15 yards out. That would be the only score of the half as the defenses held one another in check.
Kelsey Greene then scored on a penalty kick in the 49
th minute after a foul in the box for the 2-0 lead. At the 61:51 mark,
Tiffany Taylor took
Acacia Johnson's cross from the right side and put her shot in from the middle 6 yards out.
Annie-Brynn Stauffer then scored after the third blocked shot in the 83
rd minute as she followed up with her shot and put it past the Warner Pacific goalkeeper.
Acacia Johnson then scored the final goal of the game at the 84:07 mark taking
Kelsey Greene's through ball on the right side, beat her defender and finished just inside the 18 yard mark.
Patty Hughes earned the shutout for Northwest U (10-5-1, 8-0 CCC) with 4 saves in goal while keeper, Allie Holterman, had 4 saves for the Knights. NU outshot WPC 14-5 and had 6 corner kicks to WPC's 1.
