"It is always a great feeling to win on your home court and while it wasn't always pretty, both teams battled and played their hearts out," commented Steven Bain, NU head coach. "Corban really did a good job of pressuring us with their serve, especially in that 3rd set, so I was pleased with our effort and the composure we displayed to close out that 4th set when the match was on the line. Credit goes to our 4 terrific seniors as well who get to go out with a win in their final home match."
Northwest U finished their regular season next week on the road in Olympia to take on Evergreen on Friday, Nov. 7. Corban will also be on the road for their final two matches of the season at the College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon next Friday and Saturday.
