KIRKLAND, Wash. – The Northwest University women's volleyball team has once again been recognized for its excellence in the classroom, earning the 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.

The award honors volleyball programs that maintain a year-long team grade-point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale, recognizing the commitment of student-athletes and coaches to success both academically and athletically. This year, 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams received the distinction.

"One of the enduring traditions of our program is that our athletes are committed to achieving high standards both on the court and in the classroom, so congratulations to our ladies for once again earning the AVCA Academic Award," said Northwest Head Coach Steven Bain. "The AVCA award reflects the hard work and determination they invest in their studies, and I couldn't be prouder of their efforts."

The recognition continues a strong tradition of academic excellence within the Northwest volleyball program, highlighting the dedication and discipline the Eagles display beyond competition. While the team continues to pursue success on the court, the AVCA Team Academic Award reflects the program's commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes who excel in every aspect of the collegiate experience.
