Rae Ann Haistings would send the match to a fifth set with her set ending kill for the 25-23 win.

Northwest would maintain their momentum in the 5th set to lead 11-6 after kills by Haistings and Arika Zwack. Kristyn Ross would pull SMU to within five (14-9) with her kill, but a Saint error would give the set and the match to the Eagles.
