Eagles Tie Argos in Double Overtime

Box Score GREAT FALLS, Mont. - Kortney Hudak score the lone goal for the NU Eagles in the second minute of the game, but the University of Great Falls defense then held NU scoreless for 108 minutes while scoring a goal of their own for a 1-1 tie in double overtime this afternoon.

Hudak took Gabi Andrade's pass and put her shot past the UGF goalkeeper to put NU up 1-0 after just two minutes of play.
 
It took Great Falls 76 minutes to score the equalizer when Alejandra Guzman scored off a cross from teammate Sydney Knieriem at the 18 yard mark and touched the ball past NU goalkeeper Lauren Patefield for the score.

Gabi Andrade came close to getting the golden goal in the 96th minute of the first OT, but her shot was stopped by UGF keeper, Lyra Dorvall. Kotney Hudak had another opportunity in the 2nd overtime, but Dorvall was there for the save once again.

The Argos had four shots in the final period, but two sailed wide, Patefield saved another and the team stopped another shot by UGF to preserve the tie.

UGF outshot the Eagles 16-8 with Patefield making 6 saves. Kyra Dorvall had four saves in goal for UGF.
