Box Score KIRKLAND, Wash. - The College of Idaho, down two sets to one and also trailing in the fifth set, battled back to win the final two sets for a 3-2 come-from-behind victory (25-16, 20-25, 25-21, 22-25, 7-15) tonight in the NU Pavilion.

After tying the match at two sets each, the Yotes also trailed NU 7-4 in the fifth set, but would battle back once again to tie the score at 7-7. The Yotes came back strong in set two breaking a 16-16 tie to outscore the Eagles 9-4 down the stretch with Kylie Porter finishing it off with two kills.

It would be Northwest U taking the lead in the third set after a 13-13 tie with a 4-0 run with a kill by Hannah Hanson and a Yote attack error to take a 17-13 lead which they would not relinquish and go up 2-1 in the match.

Back would come the College of Idaho in the fourth set with a strong service and attack game. It looked as though NU might win the set, leading 21-17, but four straight points including a Sierra Porter service ace would tie the set at 21-21 and the Yotes would go on to outscore the Eagles 4-1, to send the match into the fifth and deciding set.

Northwest U's (13-7, 9-5 CCC) Amanda Waterman finished with a double-double of 14 kills and 14 digs and added three service aces. Sydney Schlect added 11 kills while Morgan Pilon totaled 36 assists. In addition to Porter and Fenton's strong match, the College of Idaho's Kilee Lopez had a match high 29 digs with Sierra Porter adding 13 digs for a double-double. The Yotes' defense held Northwest U to .152 hitting for the night, but the Eagles held C of I to a .144 hitting percentage for the match.

Said NU Coach Steve Bain after the match, "We had a terrific effort tonight against a strong opponent but when the match was on the line College of Idaho made the plays and we didn't.  There were many great moments though on our side of the net and we are improving step by step.  I know this group will focus on the positive and use the experience to continue to make changes and improve."

Northwest U remains at home and hosts No. 7 Eastern Oregon at 5 p.m. on Saturday, while the College of Idaho will be in Olympia, Wash., to play the Evergreen State College also scheduled for 5 p.m.
