KIRKLAND, Wash. - All the games this week are big games for the Eagle teams, but none more important than Saturday's volleyball match between the NU Eagles and the No. 9 ranked and undefeated Southern Oregon Raiders, the Eagle Game of the Week. SOU jumped from their No. 16 spot to the 9th spot with their opening conference wins over the weekend. Seven of their nine wins have been straight set victories.
The Eagles are also off to a good start this season posting a 6-2 overall record and a weekend sweep in their conference opening matches in Portland. NU, SOU, OIT and Evergreen all sit atop the league standings with 2-0 marks making this weekend significant matches so early in the year.
Friday night, Oregon Tech comes into town with a 7-1 record, so the Eagles need our fans out to make some noise as they did last week in their straight set victory against Pacific.
The Southern Oregon match is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start, so let's pack the Pav for the evening.
