Morrow's Two Goals Lifts Eagles Over Argos

Box Score GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Madison Morrow scored two goals to help lift the NU Eagles to a 3-0 shutout victory over the University of Providence this afternoon on conference play.
 
Morrow scored the first goal for the Eagles in the 28th minute finishing Stephanie Wilson's cross into the box for the 1-0 NU lead. The score would hold up the remainder of the half as the Eagle defense would allow just two Argo shots.
 
Nadine Huff put the Eagles up 2-0 at the 58:53 mark when Katie Michkiosky's shot on goal was saved and deflected to Huff who finished for the goal.
 
After a brief break in the action for substitutions, Morrow would score again at 64:12 off a pass and assist from teammate Allison Lorraine for the game clincher.
 
Providence managed to outshoot NU 10-6 in the second half and 12-10 overall while the Eagles held the edge on corner kicks, 4-3. Kat Sanchez earned the win playing 81 minutes in goal and making 5 saves. Kierstin Patefield came in to relieve Sanchez with 8:53 to go in the game and made one save.
 
Madison Morrow led Northwest U (8-7, 5-4 CCC) with her two shots one goal and two scores. Rylee Rassier took two shots with one shot on goal.
 
Said Bryan Chud, Eagle head coach, "Today was a massive result for us and the effort put in by the entire team was outstanding. Madi (Morrow) scored two great goals and Kat Sanchez was huge for us coming up with two critical saves for us in the second half."
 
Next Up: The Eagles will close out the regular season at home next weekend hosting the College of Idaho and Rocky Mountain College on Friday and Saturday.
