Corban Ends Eagles Season

Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - #3 seed Corban University ended the NU Eagles season with a 1-0 shutout in the first round of the CCC Championships at Willamalane Park in Springfield this afternoon.

A lone goal by Timur Zhividze in the 29th minute would prove to be the game winner. Zhividze took Jordan Moss' through ball and put it into the back of the net.

The Corban defense was tough to break today as they limited NU to three shots on goal and seven shots for the game while taking 19 shots, 10 shots on goal. Eagle goalkeeper, Daniel Christenson, played valiantly in goal, making 9 saves for the game.

Chris Iacolucci took all three shots on goal for the Eagles, while Zhividze had six shots, four on goal with the one score.

Said NU coach,Gary McIntosh, "Proud of the guys for the way they battled today they made NU proud. They never quit and played hard until the end. This has been a tough year for us as we faced a lot of adversity as a team. Our senior leadership was amazing all year and they have left a legacy that we all can be proud of."
