Kirkland, Wash. – Northwest University (13-11, 9-6 CCC) lost in three straight sets to Eastern Oregon University (18-5, 13-2).
Â
The game was close throughout, with the Eagles losing by a mere two points in each set, and the first set going to 27 points.
Â
Sarah Warner played a great game despite the loss, with 10 kills, 18 digs, and two blocks.
Courteney Carr added 20 assists and 10 digs for the Eagles.
Â
The only difference in this game was the Mountaineers finishing the sets. All of the sets were close, and it was a disappointing loss for the Eagles.

Northwest head coach
Steve Bain commented, "Both teams played with great energy tonight, but at the end of the evening, Eastern Oregon's ability to make plays when the sets were on the line turned the match in their favor. Offensively, we struggled to find any rhythm, but most of that was a result of Eastern's defense and ability to side out in transition.  On the positive side, our ladies didn't quit, and hopefully, we can translate the lessons we learned tonight into greater success the next time we take the court."
