BILLINGS, Mont. – Northwest University (8-8-2, 7-3-2) women's soccer score early in the second half to push the game into overtime against a very evenly matched Rocky Mountain Bears. Rocky Mountain (11-5-1, 7-4-1 CCC) had the final word, when Mhari Smith was assisted by Lauryn Gamache to score just two minutes into overtime, giving the Bears the 3-2 victory.
After coming from behind to win the night before, the Eagles found themselves behind 1-0 at halftime.
Katie Michkiosky responded quickly with an assist from
Whitney Weaver to score in the first 47 seconds of the second half. In the 82
nd minute, Michkiosky found the back of the net again to give the Eagles a 2-1 lead.
With Katie's second goal in the game, she tied the NU single season scoring record of 18 goals. Five minutes later, Lauryn Gamache of Rocky Mountain University scored with just three minutes left in the game to send it into overtime.

Bryan Chud commented, "We played reasonably well today but made some mistakes that unfortunately we paid for. We will take the next week to address some of the mistakes. Overall, I am pleased with the soccer we have played this season, and I am confident we are the team to beat next week in the playoffs."
