Springfield, Ore. – Northwest University (9-8-2) beat the higher-ranked Southern Oregon University (9-5-2) in the quarterfinals of the Cascade Collegiate Conference by a final score of 2-0.

The Eagles scored both their goals in the first half of the game, the first coming in the 18
th minute when
Sharaya Roberts made a through pass to
Katie Michkiosky, who finished from 12 yards out. This was Michkiosky's 19
th goal of the season, which breaks the all-time NU single-season women's soccer scoring record. Michkiosky also leads the conference in scoring, averaging 1.12 goals per game.

The Eagles' second goal came in the 30
th minute, when
Rylee Rassier hit a shot to the far post off a pass from
Bailey Travis.

Northwest head coach
Bryan Chud commented, "Today was a very good all-around team performance. With the exception of the first 20 minutes, we dominated play and were very good with the ball, scoring two very good goals. The team is focused and poised to go into the semifinals of this tournament with confidence."
