Kirkland, Wash. – Northwest University (2-3) lost to the Lewis-Clark State College Warriors (6-0) on Friday night with a final score of 89-53.
An 11-0 run early in the game put the Warriors up 13-3, and when the first quarter buzzer sounded, they were up 17-11. The Eagles could not match this effort and never got within 8 points of the Warriors' score for the rest of the game, eventually losing by 36.
The Eagles' Lexi Biggerstaff had an impressive outing despite the loss, gathering up a team-leading 16 points and four assists. Freshman Ellesse Fitzgerald added 13 points as well.
The Warriors dominated the Eagles in both field goal percentage and rebounding totals, shooting 56% from the floor and gathering in 44 rebounds in the game.

Ken Crawford remarked, "It was a tough loss against an excellent LC State team. This was an outstanding opportunity to learn what it takes to play and win at this level. I hope that it will create a determination to learn from the experience. We will be back at it tomorrow."
