Klamath Falls, Ore. – Northwest University (9-7, 1-3 CCC) lost to No. 24 Oregon Tech University (11-4, 3-1 CCC) with a final score of 80-61.
Once again, Northwest's Hussayn Ford gathered up a double-double, this time scoring 20 points and nabbing 10 rebounds. Jase Paulsen and Nick Navarro were the Eagles' only other double-digit scorers, with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Poor shooting from deep (5-24) and a lack of rebounding effort (29 to the Owls' 47) forced the Eagles into the loss. Oregon Tech's Tyler Hieb led his team, scoring 19 points in the game.
Northwest head coach
Jeff Drinkwine commented, "OIT did a very good job on defense tonight, and it caused us problems. We made adjustments and competed. We just couldn't close the gap."
