After two goals by the Beacons within the first 25 minutes, the Eagles were in an uphill battle for the rest of the game. The Eagles'
Lucas Mota Silviera scored a 25-yard worm burner in the 55
th minute, but the team was never able to find its second half equalizer.
Six yellow cards were handed out in the match, and the Eagles'
Cooper Gray was thrown out of the game after a receiving a red card in the 80
th minute.
Northwest head coach
Gary McIntosh remarked, "We came out playing well for the first 10 minutes, but then we dropped off and that allowed them to gain momentum and find two early goals. The second half was a different story, as we dominated play the entire half and were able to get a goal for our efforts. The second goal never came for us, but the guys played really hard and created so many chances. Now we regroup and get ready for Corban."
