The Mountaineers had a solid performance throughout the match, led by a balanced defensive effort, as the team had a combined 68 digs and 8 blocks.
Eagle head coach
Steve Bain explained, "We played another tough, physical opponent tonight, and while we were able to hang with them at times, Eastern's ability to dig and side out in transition was superior to ours, and when the match was on the line, we were unable to convert. On the plus side, we are starting to play with the energy required to be successful in the CCC, and I am encouraged by the positive approach and the team's commitment to our process."
