Walla Walla Wolves Watch the Eagles Sweep the Weekend

KIRKLAND, Wash. – Northwest University (7-14, 4-7 CCC) beat the Walla Walla Wolves (2-17, 1-9 CCC) on Sunday afternoon with a score of 69-48. With the second win of the two-game series, the Eagles recorded their first conference sweep of the year.

The deciding factors in the game came with both second chance points and points from the Northwest University bench. The Eagles outscored the Wolves 19-4 on second chance points and 26-0 on points from the bench. Miranda Langenhorst led the Eagles' second chance points with 14 rebounds and 11 points on the day. Alyx Fast and Lexi Biggerstaff each contributed 10 points in today's performance.

Late in the game last night, the Walla Walla Wolves had two injuries that left them shorthanded on substitutions today. Walla Walla battled underneath and outscored the Eagles in the paint 26-22. Titi Graham put up an impressive 22 points, while Stanyer and Guerrero each added 12 points for the Wolves. Despite the effort from the Wolves in the paint, they failed to convert beyond the arc, shooting 1-13 from deep.

Northwest University head coach Ken Crawford commented, "It was another solid effort by the Lady Eagles this afternoon. We had contributions from everyone, and this was a momentum builder as we go into the second half of the conference season. We hope to see everyone this upcoming weekend as we take on Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon University."
