Kirkland, Wash. – Forty minutes were not enough, as Northwest University (10-13, 2-9 CCC) lost in overtime to No. 18 Southern Oregon (15-7, 5-6 CCC) with a score of 79-76.

Everything looked up for the Eagles throughout the entire first half as they jumped out to a 17-2 lead. They ended the half up 46-39, shooting 8-15 from deep. Nick Navarro alone shot 4-5 from the three in the first half. The Raiders came back in the second half, outscoring the Eagles 31-24, tying the game 70-70 to force overtime. A quick three from the Raiders' Kaj Bansen put them up, and the Eagles couldn't find the secret sauce to claw all the way back. After Southern Oregon's Tristen Holmes hit a layup in the last ten seconds to take a three-point lead, Northwest's Ryan Ricks couldn't hit the last shot to tie it up, and the game ended in another close loss for the Eagles.
Â
Hussayn Ford and Nick Navarro combined for 43 points in the game, and Ryan Ricks added 17.
