EUGENE, Ore. – Northwest University men's basketball had a strong second half to give them a 98-93 victory over Northwest Christian University.
 
The Eagles needed contributions from everyone to get the win tonight. Hussayn Ford had 21 points and 12 rebounds. Nick Navarro put in 24 points, and Josh Meyer added an additional 22 points for the Eagles. Northwest University shot 57% from the field whereas Northwest Christian University shot 51%.
 
Tyrus Hosley from Northwest Christian University led the team with 28 points. Reece Robinson had a double-double on the night for the Beacons with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
 
Regardless of the competition, the Northwest University men's basketball has always stayed in the game until the very end. Tonight, they walked away with a well-deserved victory. Head coach Jeff Drinkwine commented, "The guys played hard and stayed together. It was definitely a collective effort on all parts. It was nice to see the kids get the win."
