La Grande, Ore. – Northwest University (5-14, 2-7 CCC) lost to No. 14 Eastern Oregon University (13-2, 7-0 CCC) with a score of 88-62.
The Eagles struggled to recover after a poor second quarter, when they were outscored 25-12. The Mountaineers shot 46% from the field to the Eagles' 36%, which did not help the Eagles' chances. Northwest also shot 6-29 from the three-point line.
Miranda Langenhorst tallied 20 points and six rebounds in the loss. Freshman Sam Van Loo added 10 points and eight rebounds.
Maya Ah You Dias was unstoppable tonight for Eastern Oregon, scoring 31 points on 12-18 shooting, including five threes, and grabbing 14 rebounds to lead her team.

Ken Crawford commented, "Although the score didn't go our way, the Lady Eagles put forth great effort tonight. It was a good game, and we were pleased with the competitive effort. We are looking forward to getting home for a tandem of games next weekend versus Walla Walla."
