Eagles Get 10th Straight Win

PORTLAND – Northwest won its school-record 10th consecutive game Friday, knocking off Warner Pacific 3-0.

Callie Wright scored twice for her ninth and 10th goal of the year, Rylee Rassier recorded her 12th goal of the season, and Hannah Nicholson collected two assists.

With Wright joining Rassier in double-figure scoring this season, it marks the first time in school history for the Eagles to have teammates with 10 or more goals each.

"We started extremely well again today and played a very efficient first half," said NU Head Coach Bryan Chud. "Warner Pacific was very organized and well-coached, so once again, I'm proud of the effort and the result."

Rassier got the game winner in the fifth minute, using an assist from Peyton Manalo. Manalo collected a deflection and got the ball to Rassier for the goal.

Wright scored in the seventh minute, using the first of Nicholson's assists, and that combination worked again in the 21st minute for the final margin.

Wright, Morris, and Rassier took four shots each, with Wright putting all four on frame. NU had 18 shots and 12 shots on goal for the game.

Kat Sanchez had two saves in collecting her 22nd career shutout.
