Eagles Blast Multnomah, 4-0

PORTLAND – Leon Bormann scored two goals to help Northwest to a 4-0 win at Multnomah Saturday.

Tyler Siedenburg got the game winner in the 42nd minute, and NU took a 1-0 lead into the intermission.

Bormann scored his first goal in the 67th minute, with the first of two assists in the game by Noah Prophet. Just 79 seconds later, Prophet got his second assist, with Justin Harden scoring the goal for a 3-0 lead.

Bormann scored in the 72nd minute to finish off the scoring for the weekend.

"It was good to get the win," said NU Head Coach Gary McIntosh. "Coming off of last night's overtime game, we came out tired, and it took us some time to get going. Once we found our legs, we started to play well and found the back of the net.  We should've had a few more goals, but overall, it was a good day."

Northwest outshot MU 28-2, with the Eagles not requiring a save from either Alexander Thiehofe or Noah Roberts in the team shutout.

Elliot Misic had five shots and put three on goal to lead the Eagles, while Harden put all three of his shots on target.

The Eagles are 7-5-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference heading into next week's single game--a 3 p.m. contest Saturday at Evergreen State in Olympia.
