Northwest at Evergreen
Saturday | Oct.19 | 3 PM | Olympia
Game Notes | TESC Men's Soccer | CCC Men's Soccer

KIRKLAND – Northwest is back on the road Saturday with a 3 p.m. game at Evergreen State in Olympia.

Due to heavy rains and potentially poor field conditions at Evergreen State, Saturday's soccer games have been moved to Capital High School in Olympia at 2707 Conger Ave. Northwest.

Northwest took a 2-0 loss at home against Evergreen State last year to continue a streak of three games in which the home team took one on the chin. Last season's game was scoreless for 77 minutes.

The Eagles are 12th in the NAIA with six shutouts this season. Alexander Thiehofe has five of those shutouts and is 28th nationally with 0.95 goals allowed per game. That is an incredible number to pair with 49 saves, including an 11-save shutout and a 12-save performance in last week's 1-1 double-overtime tie.

Kyle Han has six assists and is 43rd in the NAIA. As a team, the Eagles have 32 assists, which is 19th in the nation. Dmitry Zorchenko has five assists, and Jordan Travis has four.

Jordan Travis is in the NAIA Top 50 in four categories. Travis is 32nd with 10 goals and 40th with 24 total points and 10 goals, 43rd with .83 goals per game, and 48th with 2.0 points per game. Jordan's 10 goals and 24 points lead the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

Freshman Elliot Misic has averaged 2.3 shots on goal per game. He also averages 3.3 shots per game, and his 33 shots this season lead the team. Misic has placed 69.7 percent of his shots on goal. Misic is 22nd in the nation in shots on goal per game.

The Eagles have scored in every game this season and, dating back to last season, carry a 14-game scoring streak going into the weekend. It is the longest such streak for NU in the last 13 years.

Evergreen State is 6-6 overall and 4-4 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. The Geoducks beat Multnomah and Warner Pacific last weekend, coming into this Saturday's game on a two-game winning streak. Joe DiCarlo and Mitchell Balmer lead The Evergreen State with five goals each. Balmers has four assists and leads the Geoducks with 14 points. All three of Maxton Hauser's goals have been game winners. Hunter Bowman allows 1.79 goals per game.
