st minute with an assist from
Olivia Morris. It was Morrow's fourth goal of the season.Â
Â
The assist by Morris is her 10
th of the season, making her just the second player in the program's history to reach double figures in assists.
Jaclyn Metz broke that plane last season with her school-record 11.
Â
The Geoducks outshot the Eagles 15-12, but
Kat Sanchez turned away all eight shots on goal for her fifth consecutive shutout.
Â
"We made it hard on ourselves today," said NU Head Coach
Bryan Chud. "We didn't play our game, and give credit to Evergreen for breaking up our game and playing extremely well. We knew we would be in for a battle today, and Evergreen gave us a really tough game. Mady came in and scored an important goal that proved to be decisive, and the defense and Kat held firm once again. We'll take a close look at this game and make the necessary adjustments as we head into the remaining games."
Â
Rylee Rassier had five shots and three shots on goal to lead NU.
Â
Northwest improved to 8-0 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference and 12-2 overall. The Eagles play at No. 11 Eastern Oregon Friday.
