CALDWELL, Idaho – Northwest broke free of its two-game doldrums Saturday with a 2-1 win over College of Idaho.

The Eagles head home Saturday with a 1-1 weekend on their final road trip of the regular season.

Kyle Han gave NU a 1-0 lead in the 42
nd minute with an assist from
Jordan Travis. Han collected the rebound off a blocked shot to open the scoring.

Jack O'Leary knotted the game for the Yotes in the 76
th minute on a free kick, but
Elliot Misic returned the favor from 20 yards on the inside right post with 9:20 left in the game.

"I was pleased with how we approached today's game," said Northwest Head Coach
Gary McIntosh. "We played with effort and heart today. Everyone contributed to this win. Our defense was solid, and our offense did a good job attacking. We are excited to be back home next week."

Northwest launched 12 shots and tested the CI keeper five times. Han, Travis, and
Joey Starr had three shots each, with Starr and Han each putting two on goal.Â

Alexander Thiehofe recorded the goalkeeper win with three saves.

The Eagles improved to 8-7-1 overall and 5-5-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

Northwest closes out the regular season with home games Friday and Saturday against Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon. The Eagles are on the hunt for one of the five remaining playoff spots, with Southern Oregon expected to wrap up one of those five Sunday against 0-14 Multnomah.
