KIRKLAND – After moving into the fifth slot in the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings last week, Northwest faces a challenge to that position and a chance to keep moving up this weekend.

Oregon Tech (11-7 overall and 4-4 in the CCC) visits Friday, and Southern Oregon (15-3, 7-1) comes in Saturday. Both matches begin at 7 p.m.

The Eagles (7-8, 5-4) split both series last season, with the home teams getting the wins.

Hannah Lord leads the Eagles with 2.63 kills per game and 126 kills on the season.
Keann White (2.29) and Abi Broussard (2.23) also get more than two kills per set. Lord is seventh in the Cascade Collegiate Conference in kills per set.

Northwest is the only team with two players in the top five of the Cascade Collegiate Conference in hitting percentage. Abi Broussard is third at .287, and
Keann White is fourth at .284. NU is second in the CCC with a .210 hitting percentage overall.Â

Anna Saelens has come on strong in conference games, averaging 4.15 sets per game.

Abi Broussard leads NU with 21 aces, and 14 of those have come against Cascade opponents. She averages .52 aces per game against the CCC, .40 overall, and is third in the league in aces per game

Cristina Hegarty leads the Eagles with 4.6 digs per game and 230 total digs this season. Hegarty is fourth in the Cascade Collegiate Conference in digs per set.

The Eagles average 2.21 blocks per set. Abi Broussard leads that effort at 1.13 per game.
Kylie Szczepanski knocks down .96 opponent attacks per game. Broussard is fourth, and Szczepanski is ninth in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

Oregon Tech is on a three-match slide after opening league play at 4-1. Ashley Ripplinger leads the Owls with 2.2 kills per set, feeding off the 7.1 assists per game of Jaime Toedtemeier, who also has 30 aces this season. Aubrey Kievit patrols the back for OIT, averaging 4.6 digs per set, while Ripplinger handles the net defense with 1.0 blocks per set.

Southern Oregon is 15-3 overall and 6-2 in the conference after falling to No. 8 Eastern Oregon in five sets. The Raiders lead the conference with a .229 attack percentage. Taylor Ristvedt leads the league with a .347 percentage and 3.4 kills per set. Elliott Cook is second in the CCC with 77 blocks.
