Olivia Morris scored twice for Northwest, but Oregon Tech kept its unbeaten string intact and claimed the lead in the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings with a 4-3 double-overtime win Friday.

Amanda Seward scored her third goal of the contest in the 103rd minute to end the donnybrook.

"I am very proud of the girls," said NU Head Coach
Bryan Chud. "We made a few mistakes today and got punished heavily for them, but I am happy with how we played and fought overall. We'll refocus and respond tomorrow."

Seward scored with an assist from Nyah Kendall in the 13th minute, but
Olivia Morris tied the game from long distance in the 19th minute.

Seward gave OIT the lead again in the 24th minute, and the Hustlin' Owls took that 2-1 lead to halftime.

Hannah Nicholson scored with an assist from
Hayli Huhta in the 65th minute to tie the game, but Maddie Miller, using an assist from Kyra Cambra, gave the lead back to OIT 83 seconds later.

Morris scored with an assist from
Rylee Rassier in the 74th minute and sent the game to overtime.

Seward, using a pass from Haley Janky, got the one-on-one goal for the win in the second overtime period.

The Eagles registered 17 shots, including seven by Wright, and put six shots on goal. Wright and Morris tested the OIT keeper twice each.

Kat Sanchez had five saves in the contest.

The Eagles, now 13-4 overall and 9-2 in the CCC, take on Southern Oregon at noon Saturday. Northwest can still win the conference title with a win and an OIT loss at Evergreen. NU can assure itself of no worse than second place with a tie or win Saturday.
