KIRKLAND – Senior Night has major postseason implications for Northwest Saturday night as Evergreen State visits for a 7 p.m. match.
Â
Volleyball recognizes its two seniors Saturday in their last regular-season home match in the Kristi Brodin Pavilion.
Keann White and
Kylie Szczepanski have played the last four seasons and have contributed to 71 wins and an appearance in the NAIA Tournament.
Â
Three of the six Cascade Collegiate Conference playoff spots have been claimed, and four teams are tightly bunched for the final three spots. Northwest leads that foursome of contenders at 10-7 in the CCC, with College of Idaho at 9-7, Evergreen at 9-8, and Northwest Christian at 8-8. A win over Evergreen State gives the Eagles a two-game lead and a head-to-head sweep over TESC with two games left. The remaining in-conference strength of schedule favors Northwest Christian (.295 opponent winning percentage) and College of Idaho (.387). While a win Saturday puts them in the postseason, NU may need to win out to keep a home court playoff spot.
