KIRKLAND – Northwest ended the regular season on a sour note, falling 3-1 to Southern Oregon Saturday.
 
Despite the loss, Northwest claimed a spot in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament. Pairings will be announced after Sunday's games. The Eagles will play in the first round in Springfield, Oregon, on Nov. 12.
 
Jordan Travis scored on a penalty kick in the 14^th minute for a 1-0 lead for the Eagles.
 
Brendan Allen scored in the 38^th minute for SOU to tie the score, and the teams were still 1-1 at halftime.
 
Pessoa de Oliveira scored in the 48^th minute, and Michael Miller added a penalty kick in the 52^nd minute to round out the scoring.
 
"I thought we started the game out well today but could not sustain it," said NU Head Coach Gary McIntosh. "We made a few mistakes that hurt us."
 
The Eagles had five shots in the game, including shots on goal by Jordan and Dennis Kozorezov.
 
Noah Roberts collected four saves.
 
The Eagles honored seniors Travis and Joey Starr prior to their final home game at NU.
