KIRKLAND – Northwest heads out on its final regular-season road trip this weekend fully involved in the postseason picture.

The Eagles play at No. 7 Southern Oregon Friday at 7 p.m. and Oregon Tech Saturday at 5.

One NU win or an Evergreen State loss this weekend puts Northwest into the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament. ESC plays the same teams as NU but in reverse order.Â

The Eagles are also hunting a first-round home berth as the No. 4 team in the standings, and the only sure path to that goal is to win both games. The Eagles have that spot now, but Northwest Christian and College of Idaho are one game behind.

Northwest lost 3-1 at home to Southern Oregon last month.
Hannah Lord had 17 kills,
Anna Saelens had 24 assists, and
Cristina Hegarty contributed 15 digs. Taylor Ristvedt had 15 kills.

The Eagles swept the Owls, keeping Tech under 18 points in all three sets.

The Eagles are seventh in the NAIA, averaging 2.52 blocks per set and have two players in the national top 20 in that category.
Kylie Szczepanski averages 1.21 blocks per set and is No. 14 nationally, while Abi Broussard checks in at No. 16 with 1.18.

Northwest is ranked 26th in hitting percentage in the NAIA at .220.
Keann White carries a .278 average and is ranked second in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

NU's Abi Broussard leads the Cascade Collegiate Conference and is 14th in the NAIA with .57 aces per game and 24th with 50 aces total. The Eagles rank 40th in the nation with 1.88 aces per game.

Hannah Lord has 229 kills and leads the Eagles with 2.73 kills per game. Abi Broussard checks in at 2.25, and
Keann White averages 2.19.

Anna Saelens have shared the assist duties this season, with Carr leading with 536 total and 6.02 assists per game. Saelens averages 4.23 assists per set.

Cristina Hegarty leads the Eagles and is sixth in the conference with 4.27 digs per game.
Hannah Michaels is second at 2.14.

Southern Oregon is 25-3 this season and 16-2 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. The Raiders will meet NU with a 10-match win streak after posting road wins at No. 3 Eastern Oregon and No. 21 College of Idaho last week. Taylor Ristvedt leads the conference with 3.53 kills per game and a .359 attack percentage. Elliott Cook gets 1.03 blocks per game to go with her 2.12 kills per set.

Oregon Tech enters the weekend at 14-14 overall and 7-11 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. The Owls swept Walla Walla Sunday to end a four-match slide. Ashley Ripplinger leads the team with 1.98 kills per set.Â
