KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Northwest finished the regular season with a 3-1 loss at Oregon Tech Saturday night, 25-21, 25-20, 19-25, 25-20.

Evergreen State also lost Saturday, officially sealing a postseason berth for the Eagles. NU plays at third-seeded Corban Tuesday at 7 in the first round of the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament.

Hannah Lord led NU with 15 kills, and
Tatiana Ensz added 14, while
Courteney Carr posted 29 assists. Ensz and Carr also had two aces each.

Abigail Broussard led the front row defense with six blocks, while
Keann White and
Kylie Szczepanski added four each.
Cristina Hegarty and Carr took care of the back row with 16 and 15 digs, respectively.

"Oregon Tech played well, and our struggles were a consequence of their good play," said NU Head Coach
Steve Bain. "I thought we played hard, but we did a poor job in tough swing situations and paid the price."

Northwest made a late comeback in the first set with a kill and block by Ensz but came up shy. The Owls used a 5-0 run midway through the second set to take control, 17-13, and never let the Eagles get momentum.

NU used a 5-1 spree in the third set to get a 15-11 lead and withstood a couple of challenges by Tech.

OIT used a 6-1 run to gain a 16-9 advantage in the final set and went on to win.

The Eagles head to the postseason at 13-13 overall and 11-9 in the conference.
