McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Molly Danielson scored inside with three seconds left to give Linfield a 63-61 win over Northwest Tuesday.

Linfield took a 60-59 lead with 2:21 remaining in the game, and the Eagles missed their next four attempts. Northwest, however, collected three offensive rebounds and finally paid one off when Lexi Biggerstaff scored in the paint for a 61-60 lead with 55 seconds to go.

Danielson tied the game with a free throw at the 36-second mark. The Wildcats blocked a shot and got the rebound with 25 seconds to play and called a timeout with 17 seconds left.

Danielson scored in the paint for the final margin. NU got off a long and hurried three-point attempt that missed the mark as time expired.

Maya DuChesne led the Eagles with 17 points, with Lexi Biggerstaff collecting 10 points and four assists. Sam Van Loo led with 14 rebounds, to go with her eight points.

The loss sends NU to 1-6 on the season with the Cascade Collegiate Conference season looming this weekend. The Eagles host Southern Oregon Friday and Oregon Tech on Saturday in a pair of 5:30 p.m. tips.
