NAMPA,
Idaho – Northwest University men and women found a few challenges to an unfamiliar course and walked away with a new school record. Head coach
Mark Mandi remarked, "We had our first experience racing indoors at the Ford Idaho Center in Boise, Idaho. We came away learning a lot, and we look forward to using this day to get better. Our men's DMR set the school record, which was one of their goals. While they were hoping to hit a national qualifying mark, it is hard to hang your head low when you run the fastest DMR of any group of men assembled at NU. On the women's side,
Emma Horn executed a great race plan on her way to finish second in her heat. I am proud to be the coach of this team. Even when things didn't go according to plan, this team finds ways to learn about what God is teaching them."
