Bellevue, Wash. – Northwest University (2-13) dropped two games on Friday night to Carroll College (7-11). Despite procuring early leads in both games, the Eagles struggled to maintain their play, dropping the first game 4-2 and the second game 8-2.

Game one – Carroll College 4, Northwest University 2

The game started with good momentum for the Eagles, who racked up two runs in the first inning. The first run came off a sacrifice fly from Alexis Contreras, sending Sammi Caron home for the score. The second run came as the next hitter, Nicola Fish, hit a single to the left side, bringing Sami Parisio in for the score. A three-run homer in the second inning from Carroll allowed the Saints to take the lead, however, and they kept that lead for good, adding one more run in the sixth to solidify their lead.

Carly Tighe pitched for the Eagles, allowing ten hits and throwing three strikeouts in the loss.

Game two – Carroll College 8, Northwest University 2

The Eagles started well in the second game, too, as Carly Tighe ran in for the score in the first inning off a single from Courtney Heard. In the third inning, Carroll responded with three runs of their own, scoring eight unanswerd runs in the game. In the sixth inning, the Eagles' Mikalya Wells grounded out to second base, allowing Alexis Contreras to run home and the Eagles to double their score.

Northwest's Rachel Hawley pitched most of the game, giving up seven hits and throwing six strikeouts.
