Medford, Ore – Northwest University (1-6, 0-2 CCC) lost two more games on Friday afternoon to No. 10 Oregon Tech (12-6, 2-0 CCC). In the first game, the Eagles lost 10-13 after a nine-run inning from the Owls late in the game. In the second game, the Owls kept their momentum going right from the start, exploding for ten runs in the first inning, eventually winning the game 11-1under the mercy rule.

Game one – Oregon Tech 13, Northwest University 10

In the first game of the day, the Eagles couldn't get a bat on the ball until the top of the fourth inning, when Sammi Caron homered to right field. The homer put the momentum in their favor, as Jordan Dippel got on base and later scored on a hit from Carly Tighe. Even later in the inning, Sam Parisio hit a single to left field, and two runners managed to make it home. The inning ended with a score of 4-2 in the Eagles' favor.

In the next inning, with two runners on base, Northwest's Alexis Contreras hit a home run to left field to put the Eagles up by five runs. Although they scored three runs in the sixth inning, and only allowed two runs from the Owls in the fifth, a huge, nine-run sixth inning from Oregon Tech put the Owls in the lead for good, as Northwest was unable to make up their blown lead.

Alexis Contreras and Sammi Caron led the Eagles at bat, with Contreras tallying three hits and four RBI's and Caron tallying three hits and two RBI's.

Game two – Oregon Tech 11, Northwest University 1

After the first game comeback victory, the Owls had all the energy going their way in the second game, as they rattled off ten runs in the first inning, including eight hits. Although the Eagles got a few hits in the first two innings, they didn't score until the third inning, when Carly Tighe doubled to center field, pushing Nicola Fish home for the score.

At the end of the third inning, the score was 11-1, Oregon Tech's advantage. Neither team found much scoring luck in the last two innings, as the game slowly came to a finish, ending in five innings.

Pam Fink commented, "We were competitive. I'm proud of the fight. We gave them a gift. We have to change the mindset and learn to play to win."
