PORTLAND – Northwest won its third consecutive game, taking a 3-1 decision at Lewis & Clark College Wednesday.

NU scored all three of its goals in the first half and held off a physical challenger.

"We came up against a very physical opponent today who did a good job of interrupting our rhythm, but we scored three good goals and were unlucky to not add to that number," said NU Head Coach
Bryan Chud. "I'm proud of the effort tonight and glad we got the win."

Callie Wright got the first and game-winning goal in the 11
th minute, using an assist from
Olivia Morris.Â

Morris scored a goal in the 24
th minute to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead.

Stephanie Wilson got the ball to
Madison Morrow, who finished the play successfully for a 3-0 lead in the 37
th minute. The Eagles took the 3-0 lead into the intermission.

Kat Sanchez got the win in goal, racking up four saves in her scoreless first half of action. Kiersten Patefield had two saves in the second half.

The Eagles, now 3-2, return to action at home Saturday, taking on Linfield College at 1 p.m.
