GREAT FALLS, Mont. –
Rylee Rassier scored twice, while
Callie Wright added a goal and two assists in a 3-0 Eagle victory on Friday at Providence to open the Cascade Collegiate Conference schedule for both teams.

The Eagles extended their winning streak to five games, matching the longest streak the team has had since winning nine consecutive contests in 2014.

"We played a solid game, and I'm really happy with how we continue to grow from game to game," remarked NU Head Coach
Bryan Chud. "Providence is a dangerous team, and it's hard to come here and get a positive result. We are really pleased with the result and our overall performance."

Rassier broke a scoreless tie in the 15
th minute, getting an assist from Wright and
Olivia Morris. Rassier achieved the brace in the 60
th minute with the assist from Wright.

Wright put the Eagles ahead 3-0 in the 68
th minute, using a feed from
Sarah Hommas.Â

NU took 22 shots and put 17 of those on target. Morris and Hommas had five shots apiece, with Hommas testing the UP keeper four times.

Kat Sanchez had one save in delivering the shutout, her second of the season.

Now 5-2 on the season, Northwest turns its attention to Carroll and a 12:30 p.m. (Pacific) date Sunday in Helena.
