Callie Wright scored twice Sunday, helping Northwest to a 4-2 win at Carroll.

The win gives Head Coach
Bryan Chud 45 career victories–-one short of tying the NU women's soccer coaching wins record of 46 owned by Erin Redwine.

Madison Morrow got the Eagles on the scoreboard in the 33
rd minute.
Sarah Hommas passed the ball to the right, and Morrow buried the shot from 17 yards out.

Wright got her first goal of the afternoon less than three minutes later, using a nice pass from Hommas for the 2-0 lead.

Carroll evened the match quickly after halftime with two goals in the first seven minutes.

Wright put a crossing pass off a CC defender, and Carroll was officially charged an own-goal on the play after Wright had been initially credited with the goal.

Morrow got the ball to Wright for her brace, coming in the 70
th minute, for the final margin.

"Our first half today was exceptional, one of the best halves of soccer I've ever had the pleasure to coach," Chud said. "The second half, David (Carroll Coach Thorvilson) made some adjustments, and we allowed them back into the game. We did a good job of getting control of the game again, though, and Callie came up big to secure the win. This is a very tough road trip to start the conference season, and I'm really proud of the way we approached the weekend and played."

Northwest had 14 shots on the afternoon, led by Wright with five, including four of the team's nine shots on goal.Â

Kat Sanchez got the win in goal with three saves.

NU, winners of its last six contests, hosts Rocky Mountain Friday at 1 p.m. The Eagles are 6-2 on the season and 2-0 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
