HELENA, Mont. – Carroll College scored twice in the first half and held off Northwest for a 2-1 victory Sunday.

Elliot Misic got the Eagles on the scoreboard in the 61st minute, using an assist from Tyler Hopp.Â

"It was another disappointing first half for us," commented NU Head Coach Gary McIntosh. "We are still learning how to compete for 90 minutes. We will get back to work Tuesday and prepare for the next game."

The Eagles launched 15 shots and put six on goal. Misic led the team in both categories with five shots, all of which were on goal.

Alexander Thiehofe had five saves in his 90-minute day.

Now 3-4 overall and 0-2 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference, the Eagles host Rocky Mountain at 3:30 p.m., Friday. It will be the first home game in 41 days for Northwest.
