PORTLAND, Ore. – Northwest opened the new year with a 92-70 win at Portland Bible College Friday.

Seven Eagles scored in double figures, and the team shot 61 percent from the field.

"It was nice to get this game in and shake off the cobwebs," said NU Head Coach
Jeff Drinkwine. "We were sluggish in the first half, and we expected that. We got our legs back and played better in the second half."

Hussayn Ford led the Eagles with 19 points and a dozen rebounds, followed by
Tanner Davis with 17 points, Ryan Ricks with 14, Christian Hakilimali with 12, and
Parker Manalo, Cesar Sandoval, and
Dejwan Walker with 10 apiece.Â

Hakilimali added seven assists.Â

Moses McEwen led PBC with 21 points.

Now 9-4, the Eagles play at Evergreen State Tuesday as they resume Cascade Collegiate Conference action.
