SEATTLE – After a strong first half, Northwest fell to Seattle 89-40 Sunday night in an exhibition game.

Cesar Sandoval logged a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

The Eagles led as late as the 6:48 mark of the first half when
Pa'Treon Lee knocked down a three-pointer for a 21-20 lead. Northwest missed its next eight field goal attempts, and the Redhawks finished the half on a 14-4 run to take a 34-25 lead at halftime.

"I thought that as a team we communicated and worked as a unit better than we had done in previous games," said NU Head Coach
Jeff Drinkwine. "Our goal is always to hold the opponent to 35 points in the first half and we've been doing that. We just can't seem to score points in the second half."

Northwest went through a 1-for-21 shooting slump with nine turnovers and fell behind 76-35 with 4:23 remaining in the game.

Lee finished with seven points and five rebounds.
J.R. Delgado added five rebounds and three assists.
Daniel Sharpe led the Eagles with five steals.

Northwest wrapped up the 2020 portion of the season.
