Costa Rica Blog Day 3: Waterfalls and Ziplines

Costa Rica 2020
Costa Rica Day 3
Courteney Carr and Eleanor Mason

Today was an amazing day! We had an early start at 7 in the morning, had a classic Costa Rican breakfast of rice, beans, and (absolutely delicious) fruit! We spent the morning hiking 700 steps down to a waterfall, went swimming in the pools below, and then hiked the 700 steps back up (in the 80-degree heat and humidity!).

The we rode a tractor trailer through the rainforest up to the top of the mountain to start a zip line tour back down. The views were incredible; we were absolutely humbled and astonished at the beauty and diversity of God's creation. After the thrilling zip line tour above the treetops, we sat down for another traditional lunch with rice, beans, fish, and salad. We are absolutely loving experiencing this culture through their cuisine, daily life, nature, and attempting to communicate as best as we can! Finally, we explored natural volcano hot springs, and topped it all off with fajitas for dinner!
