Costa Rica 2020

This is Day 1 blog (March 6) from Anna Saelens and Tatiana Ensz:
 
Hey y'all! Tatiana and Anna here. We have been up for 38 hours now so, stick with us. We arrived in San Jose, Costa Rica at 5 am this morning.
 
After we got off of the airplane, we met with our tour guide Brooke and we took a two-hour bus ride to our first Costa Rican café and there we were introduced to our very first sip… our maybe a whole lot of sips of authentic Costa Rican coffee. Our breakfast consisted of a choice of pancakes or a mixture of rice, beans, eggs and fried cheese.
 
After we drank our weight in coffee, we ventured to the San Carlos volleyball club where we coached a clinic for kids of all ages. After we led the clinic for a few hours we played 5 sets against the San Jose volleyball club. Then we grabbed lunch and headed back to our hotel.
 
Our first evening in La Fortuna consisted of walking around the town, going to dinner and drinking delicious all-natural pineapple and mango juices. The NU volleyball team has collectively decided that we love everything about Costa Rica especially the scenery, coffee and good food. We are looking forward to what the Lord has in store for our hearts during this trip and we are so blessed to be here with all of our best friends. 
 
UPDATE: We found a FROG in Anna's, Sarah's and Abi's room. The frog was massive but don't worry he was safely escorted out of the room nicely by the hotel manager.
