Men's Soccer to Host WPU, MU This Weekend

KIRKLAND – Northwest is done with road games for the rest of the regular season and begins a five-game homestand this weekend with Warner Pacific at Multnomah in for 12:30 p.m. contests on Friday and Saturday, respectively. 
 
Northwest is 7-4-2 on the season and 3-3-2 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference with one loss in the last five games. The Eagles are coming off of a 5-0 win at Bushnell in which Elliot Misic got his first career hat trick and an assist. Kyle Han had two goals. Alexander Thiehofe got the shutout with two saves.
 
Northwest, Carroll, and Evergreen State are locked in a three-way log jam for the last two playoff spots, all at 3-3-2. Warner Pacific is in second at 5-1-1 and Multnomah is tied for 11th at 2-4-1.
 
Misic leads the Cascade Collegiate Conference with 40 shots, 13 goals, 31 points, and five game-winning goals. He also is tied for first with five assists. He had his four-game goal streak snapped on Friday but he answered with three goals on Saturday. 
 
Misic now has goals in five of the last six NU games with seven goals and one assist in that span. He has the third-best single-season total in NU history. Bryan Chud holds the top two spots with 22 and 17. He also is second in the single-season record books with 31 points and five game-winning goals. Misic is tied for third in career goals with 25 and game-winning goals with seven.
 
With 64 saves, NU's Alexander Thiehofe is second in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. He is fifth all-time at Northwest with 160. He also is fourth with eight career shutouts. He has a 1.63 goals against average this season.
 
Warner Pacific comes in at 9-2-1 overall and 5-1-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference after a scoreless tie with Multnomah last weekend. 
 
Arturo Bahena leads WPU with 11 goals and three assists for 25 points. Brennan Murphy and Miguel Andalon-Cruz have three goals each. Alexis Calderilla-Hurtado has 23 saves, four shutouts, and a 1.04 goals allowed average.
 
Warner Pacific has a two-game winning streak in the rivalry but hasn't played in Kirkland since 2018. The Eagles have a slim edge in the series, 10-9-3.
 
Multnomah surprised Warner Pacific for a scoreless tie last weekend and is 2-8-1 overall and 2-4-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. Alejandro Jaramillo has two goals and two assists to lead the Lions with six points. Noe Magana has two goals as well. Jose David Lopez got the shutout against WPU and has a 1.86 goals allowed average.
 
Northwest has a 7-0 record in the series with Multnomah. The Eagles have outscored the Lions in their three wins in Kirkland 18-2. NU hasn't hosted MU since 2018.
